They buy a mood, an art of French living, "says Bernard Reybier, CEO at the head of this company of 200 employees who made 35 million euros in turnover for the year 2010-2011 which 44% internationally.

In Dubai, walkers who stroll along the Marina or in Zabeel Park, will again enjoy a French furniture, made by Sineu Graff. In forty years of experience, including ten years abroad, this Alsatian company now operates in over thirty countries worldwide. "This allows us to work for export, is a strong positioning, products and solutions with high added value," says Vincent Schaller, president of Sineu Graff.

The design is an asset for export

This enthusiasm is also explained by a Francophile historical know-how and prestige associated with the French furniture.

The U.S. stock markets have remained on the defensive on Friday. At closing, the Dow Jones lost 0.21% to 11,233.68 points. The S & P 500 loose 0.26% to 1158.82 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index yield of 0.75% on its side 2441.58 points. U.S. financial markets were closed yesterday, while the country celebrated Thanksgiving. The day before, Wall Street finished in the red.

On this day of "Black Friday", the markets were open for half a session. This day, like every day after Thanksgiving, sounds the start of the race for Christmas gifts across the Atlantic. In this time of economic downturn, observers will be attentive to the behavior of U.S. consumers during this high mass consumption.

Tensions on the debt market

On the macroeconomic front there is no major indicator on the agenda.U.S. investors as their European counterparts, should focus on the developments of the debt crisis in the eurozone.

Tensions remain very strong in the market for government bonds. The performance of the Italian debt in two years reached a new peak since the creation of the euro, exceeding 8%, after an auction of short-term borrowings Italian who saw Rome used a record performance.

In the aftermath of mini-crisis summit between France, Germany and Italy, supposed to "support and ensure the sustainability of the euro", the concern persists. Operators complain German blockages on the tasks of the European Central Bank (ECB). France advocates a more determined it to buy the debt of troubled countries. Germany refuses outright. The issue of Eurobonds is at the center of the debate.

France now has 48 million subscribers with a package and 19 million users of prepaid cards, according to figures released Friday by the telecoms regulator (ARCEP), an increase of 6.4% over one year. Over 26 million users are free to change provider when they want, or 18.6% of the total stock. Good news for smaller competitors who continue to nibble MVNO market share. And especially to Free Mobile, which must soon land on the market and is currently negotiating with Sofinco (Credit Agricole) to sell mobile phones on credit.

"For voice, the overall quality of calls is good. The big trend this year is improving the flow for the mobile Internet, "says Joëlle Toledano, member of the ARCEP.

Apart from small stickers indicating the presence of biodiesel in the tanks, nothing distinguishes the A321 Air France reduced in C02 a regular camera. Yet the company wanted to create the event Thursday by the AF6129 flight between Toulouse and Orly the most efficient carbon dioxide emissions.

Lufthansa, KLM and Aeromexico have conducted experiments of this type, but Air France has combined the use of biofuel and all means of reducing its CO2 emissions. This is an operation of "teaching and outreach," according to Bertrand Lebel, Executive Vice President for Sustainable Development of Air France KLM.

To make half as much C02 as a classic flight, Air France has played on several tables. First, it has reduced the weight of the aircraft short-and medium-haul (seats, trolleys, trucks …).Then, the pilot chooses a path optimized and continues without remedy to the rise and descent. A European project, named Cesar, was launched to generalize better traffic management and trajectories. To be deployed in Europe, 20 billion euros will have to be invested in Cesar.

Besides the weight and trajectory, the use of biofuel, supplied by SkyNRG, a subsidiary of KLM, is the major focus of this demonstration. "KLM has the chance to control the whole chain of its refueling, which is not our case," says Bertrand Lebel. Air France executives make no secret of its suppliers of kerosene engines are not in the desire to diversify the sources of fuel. "We have received support from Airbus in Toulouse in order to organize the supply of this unit.In Paris, we could not do that. "Half of the fuel used on this flight is the result of recycling of waste oil. The company chose not to use fuel from agriculture. "We do not want the biokerosene be in competition with food," says Deputy Director General. In addition, Air France will join the CEA to open in the Meuse a biofuel produced through the use of forest waste.

Permits to pollute

Air France is far to consider a generalization of the experience: "The company will not be able to use the best bio-fuels by 2020," says Bertrand Lebel. At this date, biofuel will not represent more than 2 to 4% of airline demand.

Another important measure to reduce CO2 emissions, the use of permits to pollute under a European directive which comes into force is set to January. It will apply to European airlines and companies in the world who will enter the European space. Some fear retaliation. Thus, China Southern is negotiating to bring its A380 between Paris and Shanghai, which would allow its partner Air France KLM to do the same. But if EU legislation is too restrictive, China Southern may prefer to Sydney to Paris.

Must catch up behind his desk on time to smoke outside? The issue is being debated in France, where some companies and communities have adopted this measure. In general, they do not boast too much. Reportedly, the primary health insurance fund (CPAM) of Paris has adopted such a rule in several of its centers. Employees who smoke must go débadger when they leave the building and when they return to rebadge their office.

This measure applies from Monday all the officials of the Walloon region for which time is counted cigarette break in working time. "The rule is that when one leaves or enters the building that we register the clock," said Monday the spokesman of the regional government of Wallonia, Hugo Poliart. This measure, for 10,000 people, is being debated in Belgium."It's a stigma against smoking, says Xavier Lorent, an official of the Christian union CSC. Will be tomorrow worry someone will take a few minutes for a coffee break, or goes to the bathroom? ".

80 minutes a day outside his office

For now, no action or no generalization are planned in France. "I'm not shocked by what I encourage debate, says Professor Betrand Dautzenberg, president of the French Office for Smoking Prevention (OFT). This must be done on a company without marginalizing smokers: those who buy his paper leaves or sunbathe must also débadger. "

The OFT conducted a study in 2008 which emphasizes that smoking over 20 cigarettes a day can spend 80 minutes daily outside his office for his cigarette break time.

This study also emphasizes that the time spent on cigarettes has increased since the ban on smoking on the premises forcing employees to take the elevator and out to their business. "This type of measure denormalizes smoking, said Professor Bertrand Dautzenberg. Often, the attitude of the head is different vis-à-vis the cigarette break from his team if he is a smoker or not. This system of measurement of working time ends the convenience of the hierarchy. "

The bill for banks that have distributed toxic loans to local authorities may be salty. Claude Bartolone at war for three years against Dexia and its sister does not count because no release. PS MP who chairs the Assembly today a Commission of Inquiry on "risky financial products underwritten by local" has already federated number of public entities that have contracted loans toxic.

The President of the General Council of Seine-Saint-Denis since 2007 fought first for his department. Claude Bartolone has discovered that he had contracted in 2008, led by Communists, many loans have become toxic. Thus, a debt of 953 million euros, the joint may have to pay a premium of about $ 300 million over the next ten years because of toxic loans contracted between 1997 and 2008."The equivalent of building a school year," criticizes Claude Bartolone. "And that amount could be even higher," said the MP. In fact, some of the loans contracted by the municipality are indexed to the Swiss franc and interest rates can reach 50% depending on the evolution of the franc.

Most disturbing is that the department of Seine-Saint-Denis (93) is not alone in this. MP PS refers to "hospitals, small towns or communes, departments, ports such as port of Le Havre" and "communes of all political stripes like Saint Etienne, Rouen, Saint Maur or Saint Tropez."

According to Claude Bartolone, "the total amount of toxic loans granted to public entities be around 15 billion euros of which would be 5 billion of potential losses low interest rate personal loans."

"Banks can not not pay"

MP PS is clearly concerned the role of banks. He said "they are responsible for the explosive situation in the French subprime" where thousands of municipalities are now over-indebted. Indeed, it is satisfied that they have not fulfilled their code of ethics. "They had a duty to inform and how their customers customized uninitiated" or the quest for profit seems to have guided more banks. Thus, the President of the General Council 93 filed a complaint against Dexia, Depfa and Calyon (Credit Agricole). The court should rule in October. But even Claude Bartolone said that "banks can not avoid paying." The MP also believes that "the whole chain has failed." The state has not applied a circular on the prohibition of structured products and regulatory authorities have also failed in their duty.A helping hand of the state can not be excluded.

Otherwise, "the local authorities would be forced to raise local taxes, reduce investment and jobs." And technically if the failure of a local community is not possible, it can be put under the tutelage of the state as was the case of Angouleme, said the chosen PS.

LIREAUSSI: "Hundreds of cities on the verge of bankruptcy

"Thousands of French municipalities indebted

"Borrowing risky: the state called to the rescue

"The 93 says the" war "to banks

For employees of Speedy, the turbulence is not over. They thought that the actual sale in July, Kwik-Fit, Speedy UK parent company, Itochu in Japan ended the uncertainty born in October 2010 when the investment fund PAI Partners had announced its intention to sell the shares.

Itochu, however, was only interested in the activities of British and Dutch Kwik-Fit, and not by the French pioneer of the automotive fast, with 474 service centers and a turnover of 200 million euros. And as soon as August, the Japanese group has a mandate to sell this French branch. And things are going very fast, since according to our information, potential buyers must submit their bids on Wednesday 21 September.

Three candidates are in the running of the company, with 2500 employees. All three know the business.Jacques Le Foll plays continuity as it is the current president of Speedy. He wants to continue the strategy it has put in place when he took control of the group three years ago. With some success since Speedy returned to financial balance last year.

The second candidate also knows the house well. Gilles Chauveau's predecessor Jacques Le Foll at the head of Speedy. And he led the company for eighteen years. Its offer is supported by Butler Capital, an investment fund specializing in the mean values. The two leaders have very different personalities. And they cause internal reactions extremely trenches.

Option Green Light

Last candidate, Green Light, a direct competitor of Speedy. A reconciliation between the two companies is regularly mentioned. In 2007, Kwik-Fit had even launched a bid for the Green Light, but the fund Qualium, a subsidiary of Caisse des Depots, had finally won the day. A few months ago, tried to sell Qualium Green Light evoked the interest and some of PAI. The operation did however not made and the funds from the CDC now seems willing to invest to strengthen the position of the company.

In addition to price, the buyer will also put money in Speedy. PAI has indeed invested poorly in recent years. We must renovate the center, develop a communications policy more dynamic and intensify efforts in training. The profession is indeed changing. Historical benefits of Speedy-exhausts, brakes and shock absorbers, are declining because of their sustainable growing. The growth drivers, which already represent 60 to 65% of the activity, are to be found in more technical areas such as revising or air conditioning.

These investments must be decided and launched quickly or fall behind the competition. You should know who will be future leaders. This should go fast: Itochu is pressed and the case is expected to close before the end of the year.
